Works are progressing well on the new Student Accommodation development for UCC at the Crow’s Nest site which is located at the junction of Victoria Cross and Carrigrohane Road.
Despite the Covid 19 interruption, the Main Contractor Sisk has been motoring along steadily as the four main blocks have been rising up from ground level, varying in height from 7 to 9 floors over a first floor concourse area. The four buildings are interlinked at ground floor to provide ancillary student support and recreational facilities. The ground floor also consists of a medical facility / wellness centre and commercial retail unit. The completed project will offer 255 new student bed spaces in the city to BREEAM Excellent standard.
