BMP have teamed up with Emmet Finnegan from Doherty Finnegan Kelly and Project Design Engineers (Engineering Design Consultants) from Belfast to work on an important infrastructure project on behalf of NORA – the National Oil Reserves Agency.
The project relates to the conversion of an ex Power Station tank farm (circa 140,000m3 storage) and Jetty to be used for strategic storage of emergency oil in Poolbeg.
The main contract civil works consist of new and repair works to three concrete bund compounds, culverts, installing precast concrete walls, new buildings – Fire Control Station, Control Room and Gantry Loading Area, new roads, drainage and watermain, etc.
The works have started in earnest and will continue on site for the next 12 months
