February 2017 – A Bridge Not Too Far

Brendan Merry & Partners are pleased to report that the substantial completion of the Acute Psychiatric Unit (APU) Fit Out and New Link Bridge at Beaumont Hospital was achieved in February 2017.nnThe Ground Floor of the 44 bed Acute Psychiatric Residential Unit remained occupied and fully operational during the project. The works consisted of the Fit-Out of the First Floor above the existing u201cLiveu201d APU, a project which we were previously involved in and completed a few years ago. The current works provided for a new Out-Patient Dialysis Unit together with additional Mental Health services including a Psychiatry of Old Age Day Hospital. It also involved the Construction of a new link corridor with lifts and stairs, to link the new Haemodialysis Unit back to the Main Hospital. The Main Contractor on the project was JJ Rhatigan Ltd. and together with the Design Team which consisted of Moloney Ou2019Beirne Architects, ARUP Engineering, J.V. Tierney along with HSE Estates the project was successfully completed on programme and within budget. nnThis fit out and new link corridor will contribute greatly to the existing services that Beaumont Hospital provides and we wish the management and staff every success. n
