This facility was complete in April 2017 after almost 18 months of construction on site.
The building is specifically designed to facilitate the operational needs and functional requirements for a young person “secure” environment; together with general and public access needs associated with the supporting activities involved in organising the treatment, care and development of children with challenging behaviour, lawfully detained under High Court Order on welfare grounds.
The development consists of the construction of a new educational facilities, accommodation areas and external recreational areas.
The project was carried out on behalf of the HSE and Tulsa and was extremely challenging at times.
