The National Centre for Hereditary Coagulation Disorders (NCHCD)

Brendan Merry &Partners are delighted to announce the completion of the New extension to The National Centre for Hereditary Coagulation Disorders (NCHCD) located at St James Hospital, Dublin.

The project comprises a new two storey extension to the northern elevation of the Central Pathology Building with a gross floor area of 453 Sq.m and alterations to part of the existing building with a gross floor area of 167 Sq.m to provide new laboratory accommodation and ancillary areas, together with the removal of an existing temporary building, external paving and site services.

The New Laboratory extension will provide huge benefits and be of great assistance to its primary functions of investigation and diagnosis of bleeding and clotting disorders to long term care management of severe coagulation disorders.

The Main Contractor on the project was Clancy Construction Ltd and together with the Design team which consisted of Rhatigan Architects, Garland Engineering, IN2 along with SJH Technical support department the project was successfully completed both on programme and within budget.

The new extension will contribute greatly to the existing services that NCHCD provide and we wish the management and staff every success in the new extended Facility.
